Andy Edwardson, CIO of McPherson, Kansas-based Farmers Alliance and Rick Kohl, Rating Systems Manager discussed Farmers Alliance’s journey to transform a lengthy process of programming-led product changes to empowering rating analysts with tools to make rapid changes and additions to their product and pricing. “Our goal was to try to align systems with the business and emphasize the need for product changes, create a nimble environment where we could increase the speed-to-market,” said Andy Edwardson. “It now takes about one person a couple of weeks or less to rollout additional states for new products,” noted Rick Kohl.
Anant Iyer, Head of Product Management for ValueMomentum, including its iFoundry products, shared capabilities carriers are enabling across different phases of the product development lifecycle. “Carriers are seeking to manage deployments of their products in a much more fine grained way,” said Anant Iyer.
