JOB ROLE AND PURPOSE:

Enhance insurance applications using AINS and LOMA insurance concepts to support new business products, capabilities and data reporting. Conduct project execution in a global delivery model for delivery of projects using AGILE and Waterfall methodologies. Customize core insurance products wmA and Insurance data reporting system using Microfocus development suite and IBM Mainframe. Support conversion, modernization of legacy policy admin system and data using Microfocus development suite and DevOps. Develop batch and online transactions for insurance policy/claim processing and data reporting using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, SQL, CA-7. Prepare overall status reports/dashboard using JIRA, ServiceNow tool and create technical specifications and design using Microsoft office tools. Provide application and data production support, Incident and problem resolution following principles of ITIL framework. Deploy and integrate application modules, databases, and web services using GIT, SVN Tortoise and Endevor. Upgrade core insurance products, databases and operating systems to latest versions and apply patches. Provide on call support for batch cycle job abends, online/batch processing using XPEDITOR, File Aid and debug tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

BS (or equiv) in CompSci, Engg (Comp/Mech/Electronics), or related field, plus 5 years of experience in position involving similar duties/technical capabilities.  Must be willing to relocate and work anywhere in the U.S.
